Croft Circuit to Host Top British Motorsport Events

The Croft Circuit is set to become a key location for British motorsport this year, with the track scheduled to host the UK’s premier motorcycle and car race championships, as well as a weekend of historic motorsport.

The race circuit, which is located just outside Darlington has confirmed a list of 11 events that will offer great variety for the public. The top events include the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship (13-15 May) and Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (18-19 June) – the UK’s premier two and four-wheeled race series.

After the runaway success of 2010’s inaugural event, the Croft’s Nostalgia Weekend will make a comeback on August 6-7, offering a two-day festival of historic motorsport.

In addition, there’s non-stop off-track entertainment themed across the Forties right through to the Seventies and with an open invitation to the public to dress in period costume to add an authentic retro feel,” stated the press release.

A total of eight events, which promise to attract the best in club-level motorbike, race and rally car motorsport are also scheduled to follow.

Croft is continuing its much-applauded policy of free admission for children aged 15 and under. In addition, with an ‘open paddock’ for all and superb views of the on-track action, each event appeals greatly to family audiences as well as casual and seasoned motor sport enthusiasts. There’s also the opportunity to book tickets early and save money compared to on-the-gate prices by visiting the www.croftcircuit.co.uk website or calling the circuit on 01325 721815,” stated the press release.
