If you enjoyed Burnout Paradise or the latest Need For Speed Hot Pursuit/Most Wanted car racing games, you probably know what Criterion Games can do. And you will probably like their next-gen game too.
Ever wanted to parachute from an airplane, land on a moving flatbed truck, grab an ATV, jump the railroad inches away from an incoming train, get picked up by a helicopter on the move and threw over a halfpipe on a BMX stunt-bike? Good, because soon enough you can do all those things without taking any real risk.

Criterion Games is currently working on a next-generation simulator, promising to allow gamers do whatever they want - big explosions and fireballs included - in a series of already available or user-created stunts scenarios.

The world of gaming came with a handful of stunt “simulators” so far, but neither one seems to provide as much fun as Criterion’s next big project. Apart from offering a wide range of air/water/road/offroad vehicles, the whole game will be presented in a first-person perspective.

Criterion said they got inspired by all those amateur GoPro videos bursting all over the internet and they want to stick only with the first-person perspective. You might be able to replay the dangerous stunts you created and see them from another perspective, but while you’re playing, the developers want to give you the highest dose of immersion.

As you will see in the video bellow, the game is in its early development phase, so don’t judge it too harsh. Just imagine how crazy it will be if it’s going to offer Oculus Rift support.
