Real Madrid footballer Cristiano Ronaldo surely has a thing for fast cars, as he has owned Porsches, Ferrari, Mercedes and Bentleys. Following the tradition of people with more money than common sense, he crashed his red Ferrari 599 GTB back in 2009.
He subsequently made a little more room in his garage by getting rid of a few unneeded sets of wheels - a Bentley Continental GTC Speed and a 2004 diesel Mercedes C-Klassw. Ronaldo’s cars were sold by Manchester dealer Vehicle Consulting via Auto Trader pretty much instantly.
A Manchester fan took the opportunity of owning a car that belonged to the world’s most expensive footballer for just £10,795 ($18,336), and bought the Mercedes. The Bentley was sold for £114,995 ($195,330).
In the same year he crashed that awesome red stallion, the Portuguese footballer completed a world-record £80 million ($135,95 million) transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid, where he gets £29 million a year. So if you thought that he is selling his cars because he is in need for money, forget it.
But Ronaldo must have realized that he just couldn’t live without his beloved V12-powered Maranello marvel. This time it’s an even more impressive version - the Ferrari 599 GTO, sporting as much carbon fiber as an F1 car and a black paintjob that give it a Batmobile look. This is one of the most exclusive and expensive cars that Ferrari makes, but the Real Madrid star player gets $320,000 a week to kick that ball around, so he’s not exactly wanting for cash. At least he has good taste in cars.
