Weird things are happening in Iceland, thinks that even human behavior experts have trouble explaining. You're about to watch the theory of evolution in action, as two stupid young people, one of them wearing only shorts, manage to make fools of themselves while also inflicting some serious self-pain.
This video was filmed back in July 2011, just as the camera date suggests, but only now made its web debut. It was captured by a security camera around midnight at the Höfðatorg Tower, located in the capital of Reykjavík.
Certain parts of the original video have been removed for some reason, but there's still enough to see that these people have more than one screw loose.
The clip starts off with some sort of violent physical struggle. Lovers' quarrel or armed robbery? You can be the judge, but for whatever reason, the guy in shorts rams the gate, slips underneath it and a minute later reverses into it, slamming the girl in the head with with the heavy steel girder at the bottom.
As if that wasn't enough, our aggression hero decides to ram the gate a couple more times, which sends the car flipping onto its roof, like in one of those high-speed NASCAR crashes.
We can only imagine that since she's concerned with his well being after the crash, the two are a couple. Here's what their conversation might sound like if we could understand the Icelandic tongue:
