Watching this video several times, we realized this is the result of two things simultaneously in the wrong place.
If you like canyon carving, then you don't need us to tell you that this particular turn is one of the world's busiest piece of road, part of the infamous Snake on the Mulholland highway in California.
Now, being such a highly-esteemed road, the Snake brings all sorts of riders. Some of them are as cool as it gets, much like this guy riding his sidecar bike in an almost unnatural way. Others have terribly poor riding skills and would crash in the funniest and sometimes scariest ways possible, mauling their own bikes and destroying other property, too.
We don't know whether the two cyclists were allowed on that road segment, and in case their presence was illegal, they most likely have a lot on their minds now, besides wrecked bikes and injures.
However, the rider's fail was bitter, as he could not even look further ahead, let alone slow down, swerve and so on... There could have been some fallen rocks from above, or a stalled bike or semi in the middle of the road, but it looks like the rider would have just crashed anyway...
