Now this is something you don’t see everyday - a Porsche 911 RSR hitting a barrier and jumping into a river - a pretty spectacular, yet scary crash that occurred during the Hellendoorn Rally.
Driven by Harry Kleinjan, the 911 RSR was thrashed after the pilot failed to negotiate a right-hand bend and pushed the brakes too late to avoid hitting the barrier. Unfortunately, the wall acted as a ramp and catapulted the Porsche into the air, only to send it flying into the river just outside the course.

Despite the heavy impact and the rather unpleasant flight, Harry and his co-driver got out of the car unscathed. We’re certainly glad no one was injured, but that 911 RSR will need to see a lot of car doctors before being able to set wheels on a track again. Scroll below to see the crash.
