Although the legendary media franchise celebrated its 32nd anniversary at the end of September, the Funny or Die production team put together one of the most funny spin-offs we've ever seen in recent years.
This time around you'll see a very different Michael Knight and Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT). With The Hoff already in its 60s and too busy to waste a day's worth of filming, Funny or Die asked stock car star Dale Earnhardt Jr. to play the role.
To boot, the 1982 Pontiac Trans Am was retired and in its place came a Chevrolet Camaro-based KITT with a an attitude to its artificial intelligence to say the least.
The narrator tells us that Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a racing driver that fights for the innocent and against the baddies with the aid of sidekick KITT. But this kitschy cinematic turn of the iconic TV series features a KITT that didn't have a good night sleep, recommends Dale to slow down, doesn't like Dale's super hot girlfriend and calls Dale's mom when the stock car driver turned actor munches on greasy fast-food French fries.
Yup, the Chevrolet Camaro-based KITT is very similar to the typical PMS-ing woman. But that's funny as hell all things considered. Even more funny is how KITT suggests Dale Jr. they're best friends, not partners in crime-fighting. Enough with the spoilers, now scroll down and press play to watch the humorous spot.
