The Lexus SC grand tourer never got the right attention, probably because of its dull design. Not even the second generation couldn’t attract too many customers, despite its luxury interior, classy styling and its new convertible hard top, its sales dropping down from 14,333 in 2001 down to only 720 units in 2009.
But it looks like Lexus might have something real special for its revival, a model that will make you crave for it if we stick to these latest rumors.
A Japanese publication has recently showed a very interesting rendering in their latest issue which bears the “Lexus SC” title in big bold font next to it. The rest of the ‘letters’ doesn’t mean anything to us because our Japanese Whisperer hasn’t come back yet.
The concept doesn’t look like an amateurish job and it is highly influenced by the stunning looking Lexus LF-LC concept. The publication says that the powertrain might come from the GS 450h and another 4.5-liters V8 might represent an option.
