Corvette ZR1 vs Camaro ZL1 on VIR

Now that the Camaro ZL1 is among us, everybody wants to know what the badest Camaro can do compared to the Corvette big brother. GM recently decided to satisfy this curiosity, but wanted to make sure that we all know who’s boss, so the company used the Corvette ZR1 for the feat.
Both the 583 hp ZL1 and the 638 hp ZR1 were taken to the Virginia International Raceway (VIR). You can watch the vehicles at full throttle play in the adjacent videos. And there’s more to this story - accroding to Chevrolet, the ZR1 managed to set a new record, posting the fastest VIT laptime (the company calls this the fastest published laptime) for a stock car.

The clips come with the full array of performance-monitoring gadgets, so you’ll get to enjoy goodies such as a digital speedo, a G merer, as well as a map of the course.
