Car designer and Corvette specialist Callaway has released a Shooting Brake version rendering of the 2014 Corvette Stingray.
Called the C21 AeroWagon, the Corvette Shooting Brake is Callaway's idea of a more practical sportscar that offers increased interior and luggage space, as well as the highly popular wagon-tailed coupe body style.
The Connecticut-based company says that the AeroWagon might see production if demand is satisfactory and tries to lure potential clients by promising a top speed of over 200 miles per hour (321 km/h).
The AeroWagon package, which will include an upgraded Stingray 6.2-liter V8 engine (probably with some twin-turbo treatment) and larger rear wheels, could be offered for under $15,000 (EUR 11,500) and delivered as soon as fourth quarter 2013.
As far as we're concerned, Callaway should go ahead and start rolling these Corvette Shooting Brakes 'cause they sure look awesome. Blasphemous or not, we even think the AeroWagon surpasses the Stingray Coupe in terms of design.
