Corvette Prepares Us for C7 ‘Vette with C6 Tribute

When Chevrolet designed the C6 Corvette, they were really paying attention to the international scene. The sporscar was made lighter and more compact in order to improve the handling. A 5 inch reduction in overall length made this a shorter car than a Porsche 911.
The car is basically all-new, and made its debut with a 6-liter LS2 V8 producing 400 hp and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque.

For the 2008 model year, the Corvette received a new engine, the LS3, which is a 6.2-liter unit and has 436 hp and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) of torque.

In 2005, they launched the Z06 as a 2006 model year with a 7.0-liter version of the small-block V8, which made it 505 hp of pure fun. The Z06 also had an aluminum frame that made it lighter.

The daddy of all C6 models is the Corvette ZR1, which has a supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 motor producing 638 hp when t was launched in 2009.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
