Corvette Limousine is Real and It’s Headed to Auction

Car auctions are places where big boys go to acquire four-wheeled toys. This time around, we’re not dealing with the top drawer automobiles like a Bertone-bodied Aston Martin or a Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, but a 6-seater Chevrolet Corvette limousine from the ‘90s.

Ah, remember the early 1990s? It’s the era that gave us the HTTP Internet protocol, an array of Lamborghini Diablo and Countach bedroom posters, the DVD, and Viagra. I know what you’re thinking and yes, we mentioned the latter invention because this Corvette definitely took the blue pill.

Estimated to fetch between $20,000 to $30,000 at the Mecum Indy 2015 auction, the C4 Corvette limousine is propelled by an LT1 small-block V8 tower-of-power that churns out a respectable 300 ponies. To be utterly frank with you, I have my doubts regarding those HP due to the parasitic losses of the stretched chassis and the age of this contraption.

The odometer shows 23,889 original miles (38,445 km) but God only knows how many party people drank one too many then performed the technicolor yawn. If you count the driver as well, this outlandish Corvette seats 6 people, and custom features include a power-operated divider to enjoy your champagne privately.

In the rear, whoever stretched this ‘Vette gave it two TVs, a 400-watt amplifier and thumpin' great stereo, as well as Corvette-etched glasses and ice trays. If you ask us, the element that floats our boat the most is the Chevrolet bowtie mirror on the ceiling.

Other than the vehicle itself, whoever will bid the most for this sports car-turned-limousine will also get the 2010 Corvette Funfest Commemorative Book.
