Corvette Boat with 2,700 hp On Sale for $1.7M

This year’s Targa Newfoundland rally has shown us the negative consequences that appear when a supercar takes a dive into the ocean, with a $1.5 million Edo-tuned Ferrari Enzo plunging into the Atlantic. But what if the driver had attempted the move in a Corvette?

He could have enjoyed the ride of his life. Not in any ‘Vette, but in Marine Technology's ZR48 2,700 hp Corvette-inspired boat (we must thank Jalopnik for the scoop). Yes, this is a creation that really uses Corvette parts. mixing them with carbon fiber and moving them around on water with the help of two twin-turbo Mercury Marine V8 units, each delivering 1,350 hp.

This all sounds (and looks, is you go over the images) pretty impressive, but still, why does it have a price of $1.7 million? Well, that’s because you also get an ICE CUT In-Boat-Enterntainment system that would make SEMA participants jealous, an interior that can accommodate six person and uses a dashboard coming straight from a C6 ‘Vette and others.

Oh, and there’s one more thing. The ZR48 is neither amphibious, not towable on your average trailer, so it also comes with its custom one, which includes a generator, an engine flush system, LED lights and basically everything that you can find in a small city.

You see Mr. Zahir Rana? you just had to add $200,000 and buy the right tool for the job.
