Seeing these three cars together reminds us just how old they are. Despite this, Carwow is not wrong for testing them, as these are the most popular superminis in Europe and all rank in the Top 10 best-selling cars overall (last time I checked, could be wrong on that last one).
There are much newer cars worth considering. My personal favorite is the Renault Clio 1.5 dCi, which is not fun to drive but really comfortable. Skoda's new Fabia is also more practical than any of these three.

But we have to focus on the Polo, Fiesta and Corsa, present here in the colors of the Azerbaijan national flag. That's next to Turkey if you're wondering.

It's somehow odd that Mat picked the Vauxhall Corsa as the best of the three, but considering it's the third best seller in the UK, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised. Still, this is also an irrelevant test. Ford has already revealed the all-new Fiesta and Volkswagen are close to doing the same.

Vauxhall isn't doing the same because it calls the Corsa a brand new car, even though it's just a refresh of the old one. Both the Polo and the Fiesta got similarly new engines and tech when they were facelifted.

What we totally agree with are the dynamic conclusions. Yes, the Fiesta is a lot of fun to drive but rides harshly. Yes, the Polo is really quiet for a small car. Yes, the Corsa's 1-liter turbo engine is the best here.

As far as practicality is concerned, there's not that much separating them. The Fiesta has a slightly larger trunk, while the Polo's has both a split fold and a flat bay (thanks to the false floor). But it's worth point out that the Clio and Fabia I mentioned have 300 liters or more.

On a personal level, I think brand loyalty is stopping me from accepting this conclusion. The Fiesta especially is a symbol of youthful masculinity, a poor man's Gymkhana car. The Polo, meanwhile, is better than the Corsa and obviously the Fiesta for people who value quality (boring people). But please let us know what you think with a quick comment below.
