News from Luton gentleman: As Vauxhall is celebrating 110 years of existence, they're doing a little something for their loyal customers. Today, GM Europe's Vice President of Design, Mark Adams, answered some of the questions addressed two him on Twitter, and gave us insightful information about the new Corsa and Astra, two core models which are lagging behind their rivals.
Talking about the Astra replacement, Adams refused to go into detail, but said lightness and efficiency are part of the design. The Astra K is believed to come in 2015, but could be delayed even further.

One Twitter question asked about the Corsa and how it was falling behind its rivals on engines and technology. To this, the designer said he couldn't give us any details, but said the new Corsa is "very close" obviously referring to the Corsa facelift. Adams says improving Vaxuhall and Opel supermini will affect "the technology, appearance and powertrains".

The Corsa facelift will target things that Opel is now very focused on, specifically the infotainment and perceived quality. We've long speculated the the supermini will adopt a new interior that's very similar to the Adam, with a large center touchscreen and softtouch dashboard.

We een have a picture of the new Corsa's dashboard, which you can check out below. This shows lots of chrome and the improved layout we talked about.
