The customization industry has gotten so far these days that you can have just about any theme you like on any exotic you prefer. Watch out though, some combinations may bring you to court.
This is what happened to the driver of the Maserati GranTurismo in the adjacent image, who had decided to pull some Transformer moves the cops agreed to disagree with. It all happened in Braintree, Massachusetts, where Deputy Police Chief Wayne Foster pulled the Maserati over when he happened to come across it, charging the driver with impersonating a police officer.
The GranTurismo wore a black and white color scheme, which, truth be told, does resemble that of ‘Murican police cars, while it also had a set of questionable decals. Still, this was a form of trolling, but the officer didn’t find it amusing.
The car was wearing decals such as 911, K-9 and Speed Enforcement, but the officer did note that there was no light bar adorning the Maserati. As for the Trasformers part, the doors held the “Decepticons punish and enslave” instead of the “protect and serve” we all know.
We have to admit the driver didn’t exactly build a case for himself in front of the officer - he told the policeman that he was actually helping the authorities with his car, since other drivers slowed down upon coming across his ride, thinking this was a police car.
Perhaps he’ll prepare a better explanation for the judge.
