Whenever we see a girl, us guys put on our Johnny Bravo faces on and start flexing our muscles. However, Maria Gaston may have some people outgunned, both regarding biceps and the coolness of the car.
One of our favorite American wheel specialists has released an installment of “Vossen Owner Spotlight”. While most girls her age were out drinking and partying, @Maria_lala spent most of her youth at home.

When a girl gets flustered talking about video games, you know she's a one-in-a-million kind. Many other teens play games like one of the boys, but they eventually discover fashion, high heels and flirting. Yet, Maria's racing passion made her a full on petrolhead, a car nut.

The weapon of choice a highly modified Mitsubishi Evo VIII on 19″ Vossen VFS-1 Wheels and Nitto NT05 tires. This is actually her third Evo, and this time, she got a lot more involved in the build.

It's taken Maria about a year to take the car to this point. She worked with companies such as DMT Tuning and AG Autosports to modify her engine, interior, suspension and exterior. The best bit, in her opinion, is the aftermarket FP Black turbochargers that take the 2-liter engine from 280 horsepower to over 500.

This was supposed to be a simple interview thing, but Maria blurted out that she needed to change her pads. Vossen's lift was right behind her, so the guys invited to make full use of it.

This turned into a cool photo opportunity, as the guys were able to capture Maria working on her car. After a quick change, she got to work and took off the VFS-1 wheels in a second.

Speaking of which, her wheels are 19x9.5-inch front and rear and sit flush with the body thanks to custom shocks. The VFS-1’s are wrapped in sticky Nitto Tire NT05′s measuring 235/35ZR/19. Nitto makes some of the best tires in the high-performance import tuner market. Just so you know, Maria's next project will be a full engine rebuild with stronger parts that can handle 800 hp.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
