Continental GT3 in Paris: Can Bentley Race Again?

Giving a car three chins and a huge wing is one thing, but a racing Bentley? We haven’t seen that in a really long time, now have we.

At the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Brits showed they had plans to make a comeback, as they will enter the biggest playboy racer series out there, the GT3 class. If this car is FIA-approved, we wouldn’t be surprised to se it being used in Le Mans and ALMS as well. If those rich boys stop buying the 458 Italia and shift to the Continental GT, it will mean big business for the guys in Crewe, England.

Right now, all we know is that it’s based on the fastest Bentley ever built , the GT Speed, and that it’s rear-wheel drive. There’s no way any motorsport fan won’t get excited at the sight of this slitter. It’s positively monstrous and beautiful at the same time.

“The clear message from our customers is that Bentley belongs on the racetrack, and the Continental GT3 is the realization of a dream we've had ever since the launch of the Continental GT. The Continental GT3 is set to show the world what the Continental GT is capable of in its most extreme form, and establishes a solid foundation for Bentley's long-term motorsport plans," said Bentley Chairman Dr Wolfgang Schreiber.

Question is, can they win again? It's been a decade.
