HSR2 (Heavy-Duty Steer-Axle Regional) will replace the previous version, introduced in 2002. The updated tread compound is designed to increase mileage by 15 percent over the current HSR. The new tire features include improved curb rib and cut and chip-resistant tread compound, stone ejection system and Visual Alignment Indicator (VAI) to alert the user to vehicle alignment problems.
HDL2 DL (Heavy Drive Long-Haul Deep Lug) was designed to use wider tread and casing, for better wear and increased handling stability. It also has a stone ejection system.
HTL Eco Plus (Heavy Trailer Long-Haul) has been designed with the stated goal of fuel efficiency, as trailer tires contribute 42 percent of the rolling resistance of all the tires on a typical long haul truck.
For truck used by city services, such as those used for waste disposal or constructions, Continental prepared the HSU2 (Heavy Steer Urban), a tire that offers maximum life through its 8 percent deeper tread and 17 percent increased tread volume.
HTL1 (Heavy Trailer Long-Haul) features shoulder defense groove fgor protection against rapid shoulder wear and a unique pyramid stone bumper/ejection system.
