Contagiri 8C Competizione Watch Celebrates Alfa Romeo

Giuliano Mazzuoli has recently unveiled a special version of Contagiri dedicated to the 8C Competizione, which will come in a limited edition series of 500 pieces reserved for the fortunate owners of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. The dial of the watch is inspired by the rev counter in the automobile.

The watch took four years to be developed and reportedly reflects Giuliano Mazzuoli’s experience as a racecar driver. The word Contagiri, included into the name of this product, means "tachometer" (when translated from Italian).

The Contagiri 8C Competizione watch shows off a black or argente dial, completed with Arabic numerals. The display is highlighted by a central hour hand, which retrogrades after going through an arc of 270°. The dial is shielded by a convex sapphire crystal.

The timepiece features a mechanical movement with automatic winding Calibre GM Cambiosequenziale/01 alternance 10 and includes 29 jewels and 131 individual parts. The case has been done in stainless steel and black diamond-like-carbon (DLC) or 18-karat rose gold and titanium.

The straps come in smooth ribber or rubber stamped with a woven pattern, while the butterfly buckle in stainless steel for symmetrical straps in smooth rubber or with a woven pattern is available upon request.

The watch is presented in a watch box that comes covered in smooth calfskin leather and reptile stamped by master Florentine artisan leather workers. The case back and the watch box will have the same personalization as the automobile with the same limited edition serial number (8C Red - Alfa Red - Yellow - Black).
