Conor McGregor can get back at the wheel, legally so. A judge has just cleared him of all road traffic charges related to the July 10, 2018 traffic stop.

The champ was back in court in Dublin, Ireland, looking like a superstar. He was driven there in a blacked-out BMW and made the short walk to the courthouse flanked by bodyguards. RT says he did not address the bench during the procedures, except to say thank you when the judge informed him that he was good to go.

It’s unknown why he was pulled over last summer in the first place, but he ended up being charged of driving without a license and driving without insurance. According to the same media outlet, McGregor’s team managed to convince the court that he had just forgotten the proper documentation elsewhere – not that he didn’t have it at all.

All documents were forwarded to the judge before the hearing, so McGregor’s appearance was a mere formality, to hear the judge telling him he was cleared of charges. He had good reason to smile for photos and wave to the fans when he came back out, but he didn’t stop to chat.

This was McGregor’s second driving related mishap in Ireland. In 2017, he was stopped for and eventually charged with speeding: he was doing 96 mph in a 62 mph zone in his Range Rover. That time, there was nothing his attorneys could do to help him out, so he was fined €1,000 and received a 6-month driving ban.

In July this year, McGregor was in court in Brooklyn, New York, for charges related to an April incident, in which he and his posse attacked a bus full of UFC fighters. McGregor initiated the attack by throwing a dolly towards the bus, smashing a window, but he only got a slap on the wrist after agreeing to apologize.
