If this is some kind of prank video or PR stunt, it’s a damn hilarious one: a new viral video shows a decidedly confused female driver (who also happens to be blonde, it’s true), trying to fill up her Tesla Model S at the gas station.
No one knows where or when the video was shot, but it first emerged on reddit and was then posted on YouTube and Facebook, where it attained viral status. You can also see it at the bottom of the page: it’s 3 minutes full of hilarity that you won’t want to miss.
The video was shot by a couple of guys in a nearby car, with one of them being also the dude who eventually sets the woman straight. The silver lining to all this is that, at the very least, she can laugh at her own ignorance.
The video begins with the frustrated blonde looking for the gas cap. She circles her electric car, looking attentively and is visibly angry that she can’t find it. At one point, she gets into the car to look for the release lever and finds the release for the charge port cover. She believes she’s found what she’s looking for, at long last!
Once outside, confusion sets in again: she picks up the nozzle and is ready to fill up her car, but she’s shocked to see that the nozzle doesn’t fit in what she believes is the filler neck. She stares from all angles but can’t come up with an explanation to satisfy her. She gets back into the car to do some more searching, and ends up accidentally popping the trunk.
Disappointed, she gives up and retrieves her phone to call for help.
After nearly 3 minutes of laughing at her expense, one of the guys filming her decides to end her misery and walks over to let her know that, believe it or not, an electric car doesn’t need to be filled up with gas.
The question remains, as many commenters have already noted: how did the blonde decide she was running out of gas?
