The LCI BMW M5 can now be ordered in the UK and prices look reasonable enough. The most powerful 5 Series ever to be manufactured by BMW, the M5 with the Competition Package will surprise everyone with its new character.
The saloon will receive a new steering wheel with M DCT paddles on the sides along with Black Chrome exhaust tailpipes, 20" Double-spoke M light-alloy wheels, improved, race-oriented suspension, a revised chassis set-up, new coil springs and damper calibrations and stiffened anti-sway bars.
The engine has been turned up to an official number of 575 HP but judging by our previous experiences with BMW power numbers, we're guessing the new M5 is pushing more than 600 HP at the wheels.
The ZCP option will cost UK buyers £6,700 ($10,183 or €7,800), bringing the starting price at £80,205 (€93,530 or $122,000), making it almost £20,000 ($30,000 or €23,300) cheaper than its M6 brother (fitted with the same package, of course).
