At the exact moment when Elon Musk pulled the wraps off the new and insane Cybertruck, all bets were off. The unconventional pickup truck instantly ignited the imagination of millions, and even now, half a year after that moment, we are getting pummeled by Cybertruck news, renderings, and so on.
From concepts of houses to boats, there’s almost nothing the Cybertruck’s shape has not inspired already, except, perhaps, properly-made doomsday survival machines. But fret not, that’s here now too.

Enter the Ultimate Tactical Combat Cybertrucks, the brainchild of a car designer by the name of Jan Peisert, a man responsible for the birth of reimagined vehicles ranging from Tesla Semi to the Mercedes-AMG EQSL.

This time, he played around with the Cybertruck and came up with these here things. Meant to be used not only by the military, but also by survivors of whatever apocalypse is coming our way, the designs take advantage of all the unique traits of the Cybertruck.

Looking like vehicles army generals would dream about at night, the reinterpreted Cybertrucks have been designed to fit a variety of roles. First, there’s the Quiet Scout, an armored reconnaissance vehicle. Then, the Next Humvee whose name is well self-explanatory for the role it is supposed to fill.

And finally, the Plaid Apocalypse, a truck meant for civilians to use, provided they manage to survive the end of days.

Exciting as they are, none of these designs are real vehicles. Sure, the Cybertruck will likely exceed the status of electric pickup truck for the masses, and its design and technology would probably be adapted for other roles. But that’s still a long way from happening.

As far as the military is concerned, an electric combat vehicle is still a distant dream. There are plans to make some prototypes in the future, and the Cybertruck was even acknowledged for its merits in terms of platform and powertrain, but these projects will probably not happen very soon.

Until such time an electric vehicle really becomes a viable option for combat use, have a look at the reasons that pushed Peisert into designing these versions here in the video attached below.
