Colin Farrell Spotted in A Rolls Royce Convertible

Hollywood’s bad-boy Colin Farrell was recently spotted on the streets of London behind the wheel of a convertible Rolls Royce. According to Auto Trader via Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club (RREC), the car was a 1966 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Drophead Coupe by Mulliner Park Ward.

The model stands out thanks to its headlamp arrangement, which gave it the ‘Chinese Eye’ name. According to the aforementioned source, from the 2,200 Silver Cloud IIIs built, Mulliner Park Ward only produced about 100 or so ‘Chinese Eye’ models of which an unknown proportion were fixed-head coupes.

The model features a 6.2-liter V8 which develops 275 horsepower and is able to reach a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h). A similar model of the one driven by Farrell was a white version that was auctioned in May and sold for £137,900 ($225,400).

The car however, does not belong to Farrell. The 33-year-old actor was in fact filming for his new movie, London Boulevard, which is set to hit the cinemas next year.

Farrell plays the role of a South London criminal who, after release from prison, tries to give up the gangster life and get a job. His movie partner is Keira Knightley, in the role of the reclusive young actress that hires Farrell’s character.

The Irish actor, who is best known for his roles in Miami Vice, Alexander the Great and Phone Booth is a responsible driver and he is reported as having only one car-related incident by now. Last year, while behind the wheel of his Ford Bronco he crashed into a neighbor’s parked car. However, Farrell left an apologetic note for the car’s owner, offering to pay for his insurance.
