It's no secret that off-road riding is one of the side-activities of most motoGp riders, and NGM Mobile Forward Racing's Colin Edwards is no exception. He will not ride with Valentino Rossi at the Moto Ranch, as he's up to a really tough time at the Baja 1000.
Edwards, currently 17th in the MotoGP standings with 17 points, will throw a leg over a Yamaha WR450 rally bike and will be part of a 6-rider team.

The 46th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 event will take place November 14-17, which is one week after the final 2013 round in Valencia, scheduled for November 8-10.

According to CMG, the Baja 1000 has become much more enticing with more Dakar riders joining in and taking the quality of the race to a new, higher level. Too bad that the Laguna Seca round passed: some more off-road riding experience could prove truly useful for extreme passes in the Corkscrew turns.
