CNET Reviews BMW’s i3

Brian Cooley is not the guy to be pulling your leg or make sarcastic jokes about cars but he’s known for giving you the straight truth even when it’s hurtful. In the latest episode from CNET on Cars, he reviewed the brand new BMW i3.

Recently hitting the North American continent, the i3 was introduced to the local media and Brian was, of course, on the scene to test it out and he made some really good points.

Whilst from the outside you wouldn’t consider this car a true BMW, spending some time with it will slowly convince you. Apart from the usual things other people say about the car, like the specs and range and other stuff, Brian really describes the experience it offers you.

At first, the one-pedal driving system will seem confusing but you’ll get used to it in time, as you will with the new ‘gear shift lever’ now located on the steering column and activated by slightly tilting it. Inside, the i3 sets itself apart from its competitors by offering real premium finishes and material and by isolating the sound the engine makes, becoming a truly silent car.
