When the S-Model version of the Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG and the CLS 63 AMG were unleashed in 2013 it left the world pretty much speechless.
With the exception of left-hand drive countries, where they are sadly only available with rear-wheel drive, AMG S-Models are pretty much mopping the floor with their competitors when it comes to sheers brute power, torque, but especially acceleration numbers.
The latest comparison test from AutoBild Supercars pitted the S-Model version of a Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG against three of its german counterparts (except for the Porsche Panamera Turbo, which should have probably been in “Turbo S” guise, ed).
So, we have the 585 hp and 800 Nm (590 lb ft) of torque and all-wheel drive CLS 63 AMG S-Model against a 575 hp and 680 Nm (501 lb ft) of torque BMW M6 Gran Coupe with Competition Package, a 560 hp and 700 Nm (516 lb ft) of torque Audi RS7 and a 520 hp and 770 Nm (568 lb ft) of torque Porsche Panamera Turbo.
Looking at the specs the AMG already wins, but it seems that the model also won against the other three contenders in the AutoBild comparison as well. Unfortunately, the test drive isn't yet available on their website, so you'll have to either wait or buy the AutoBild Sportscars magazine for the entire review.
