The world debut of the first ever 2 Series in BMW’s history (even though there were other cars with the number two in their moniker) and a new age for performance in the small coupe segment.
On top of all that, the new M235i will also be a powerful rival of the currently unchallenged Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG (even though the latter has 4 doors, it’s the price margin that makes them compete directly) with the 228i taking on lesser competitors.
This is also the first time the M Performance brand comes to America, marking a new era for BMW. Not there’s a smaller gap between regular cars and the full-on, berserk models such as the M3 and M4.
Prices for the new 2 Series start at $33,025 for the 228i model and $44,025 for the M235i version. Deliveries begin in March.
