CLK 63 AMG Black Series Reviewed by MotorTrend

Even though the Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series has been out of production for about four years now, having been replaced by the Black Series version of the C 63 AMG Coupe, the model is still in the minds of a fair amount of petrolheads.

Apparently, among those petrolheads we can also find MotorTrend's Carlos Lago, who recently took a red CLK Black Series for an extended test drive both on the track and on the open road.

While not a review per se, the next video is more of a tribute to what a great sports car the original Black Series coupe really was, even though the first coupe to sport the “BS” moniker was the SLK 55.

After a heavy does of tire shredding on a handling track, Lago took the German muscle car on a twisty road to also check on the car's daily driving credentials, concluding that it's pretty much like a pace car for the road.

The overall feel of the video is that of a classic car test drive, even though the model is rather far from being considered vintage. Either way, there are lots of eargasm-inducing sounds provided by the 507 horsepower 6.2-liter V8 and also plenty of eye candy from the CLK's wide body in the footage below, so why don't you have a look for yourselves.
