Clio '20th' Hits the Streets in the UK

In order to celebrate 20 years from the French car maker’s introduction of the Clio super mini, Renault has launched a special edition Clio dubbed simply ‘20th’. The Clio was first introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1990 and made its UK public debut in March 1991.

The Clio 20th special edition is now on sale in the United Kingdom and comes in the five-door body style with a balanced packaged between comfort and style. The Renault Clio has always been one of the most successful super minis in Great Britain, being the first in its class to achieve a maximum four-star Euro NCAP crash test rating, followed in 2005 by a sector-leading five-star status.

This particular edition of the Clio is easily recognizable through its specific ‘20th’ badges on the B pillar and the gloss black finish of its front bumper moldings, door mirrors and detail on the body-colored side moldings which contrast with the body-color door handles. On Pearl Black versions, these elements are finished in anthracite grey.

For the 20th edition Clio, Renault also prepared a new set of stylish 16” alloy wheel rims called Lyria. This special edition also adds extra tinted rear windows and tailgate.

For the interior, the dashboard features zinc grey air vent surrounds, dashboard inserts and centre console, in addition to '20th' badging on the front door sill kickplates. Based on the Dynamique TomTom trim level, the luxurious '20th' limited edition versions of Clio come comprehensively equipped with fully integrated Carminat TomTom satellite navigation, climate control, cruise control, electrically adjustable and folding door mirrors, front and rear electric windows, Renault hands free card, speed limiter, ‘Sport’ upholstery and 4x20W radio CD MP3 player with Bluetooth hands free system with fingertip controls, four speakers and USB connection.

Other optional features for the special Clio ‘20th’ trim level include fixed cornering lights with black surrounds, electric panoramic sunroof and rear parking sensors. The special edition 20th trim level can be purchased with a choice of four engines: 1.2 TCe 100, 1.5 dCi 86, 1.5 dCi 106 and 1.6 VVT 128. Prices start from £14,671 for the 1.2 TCe 100, rising to £16,393 for the 1.5 dCi 106.
