Clint Eastwood Stays Faithful With Chrysler While Riding in His Fiat 500e

Clint Eastwood is one of those Hollywood celebrities that wants to keep things simple and clear. At least that is the message he is sending considering he can afford driving a Lamborghini but prefers a Fiat 500e instead.

The veteran actor was spotted on Thursday driving his electric sub-compact car to the set of “American Sniper”, his latest feature, in Venice, California. Even though the zero emissions type of small car costs more that a brand new Impala ($32,000), we have to say it is a decent ride for those digging the Italian manufacturer.

As opposed to the gasoline version, the electric version of the car has a 50% improvement in its aerodynamics and a single speed gear box that works with buttons instead of a shifter.

It does take 9,1 seconds to reach the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark, but that is pretty normal for this type of cars. The electric motor is an 83 kW unit that relies on 600 lbs. of batteries to produce 111 horsepower and 147 lb-ft. of torque.

Anyway, seeing Clint Eastwood Driving the Fiat 500e makes us realize that he is still faithful to the Chrysler auto manufacturer, considering Fiat is the major shareholder at the American company. We will asume you car lovers out there have seen that inspirational type of clip the 60-year-experience actor did, back in 2012.
