We’re talking about Westlife’s “Uptown girl,” Claudia Schiffer and the Opel brand. It seems that the supermodel accepted to become the German face of Opel, Europe and star in their new campaign entitled “It’s German” that features the Meriva and Mokka models.

We must admit that this was a smart business decision as Schiffer is well known across the world. She has that “je ne sais quoi” that makes people fall head over heels in love with her and by association with Opel’s vehicles. Genius move, right?

Concerning the campaign, the fashion icon’s job will be to illustrate, through a number of heartwarming stories, Opel’s “Made in Germany “ concept. The idea was to bring someone that not only has the looks but understands the uniqueness of the brand’s models.

According to Opel Chief Marketing Officer Tina Müller she is a good fit in Opel’s vision of what a brand ambassador should be like. Also, this excitement is shared in the same measure by the successful supermodel as she believes that the Meriva is great for families like her own.

Well, we can only say that we look forward to January when we’ll be able to see Claudia on TT, delivering her punchline ”It’s German.”
