Have you ever wanted you own double-decker bus for you collection or just for having fun? Now is the chance to buy it, as Barons’ auction in June will feature one.
The auction held at Sandown park on June 9th will put on sale one of the only three surviving examples of the 1958 AEC Regent V open-top double-decker. The bus was supplied new to East Kent, being used as a sea-side tourer on the Cinc Ports route.
Restored in 2008, the bus has some contemporary features inside, giving its future passengers both the classy looks and the modern day comfort. Its owner estimates to gain somewhere between £12,000 and £17,000 (€14,173 - €20,079 / $18,645 - $26,414), despite its rarity.
Among the other auctioned cars, Baron will also offer a low sleek Piper GTR LeMans prototype for about £30,000 (€35,434 / $46,614). It’s a replica built using molds taken from the original 1969 Piper that competed at Sarthe circuit.
