Sporting the most powerful production four-cylinder engine on the planet, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG is seen by some as a prettier A 45 AMG, while by other as God's gift to the mankind who didn't have enough moolah to buy a CLS 63 AMG.
Mercedes-Benz is obviously siding with the second type of people, as the main idea behind most of the cars built on the MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform is to be aspirational and bring in a lot of sales numbers. Which they do, actually.
The old chaps at Autocar recently drove a CLA 45 AMG and came out with a rather interesting review, with both nice and not so nice words about the model.
The not-so-nice words are about the fact that it costs quite a great more deal than the A 45 AMG, on which the CLA 45 AMG is obviously based, while the model's suspension settings seem to be slightly less stiff than its hatchback brother.
You should read their entire review for a more elaborate take on the CLA 45 AMG though.
