CLA 45 AMG Gets Driven by Jalopnik Again

The AMG version of the Mercedes-Benz CLA (C117) has been quite a talked-about car in the months since its launch in the land of the free, and not because of a lack of reasons.
First of all, it is the first AMG model with under six-cylinders that reaches the US shores, most Americans being used with roaring and rumbling V8s of the “63 AMG” model series.

Second of all, it is also the cheapest AMG model that you can currently buy in America, starting at “only” $47,450 MSRP.

Third of all, despite having 4Matic all-wheel drive, it isn't rear-biased like in the new E 63 AMG, CLS 63 AMG and S 63 AMG, which no longer come with a RWD option.

Still, getting the “oh no, just four cylinders!”, low price and slight understeer out of the way, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG is actually a pretty good car.

Its official 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) time is just 4.4 seconds and you can also drive it without any fear in the winter, so what is there not to like?

The peeps from Jalopnik took a CLA 45 AMG for a spin for the second time, only this time it was driven and reviewed by a different blogger, so their driving conclusions are slightly different.
