To say that we're excited about the Honda Civic Type R would be a terrible understatement. And it seems the makers of minivans and family SUVs feel the same way, since the R stars in almost all their videos these days.
The latest is called Keep Up and is meant to introduce "Honda’s new range of products and continuing innovations all whilst challenging the viewer to push themselves to improve, a philosophy Honda has embraced since the birth of the company."

That's quite a mouthful. In essence this is a cool video made for the sake of making a cool video. It reminds us of "Impossible Dream" from nearly 5 years ago, which proves Honda are still the uncrowned kings of the ad world. Besides the Civic Type R, we also catch glimpses of the 2015 Jazz ad HR-V, two new B-segment cars that European customers will sample this year.

Getting back to the mighty R, we have to mention that what you see in the video is still a concept. The real deal will be shown in Geneva on March 3rd and should be crowned the new kind of the hot hatch world. With Honda's first 2-liter turbo probably pushing 290 hp, this will be the fastest front-wheel drive car every to lap the Nurburgring track. It will even outpace the original NSX Type R supercar from yesteryear. That's like a Fiat 500 that's faster than a Lamborghini Countach!

Honda has also promised a top speed of 167 miles per hour, selectable driving modes and a semi-reasonable price tag that lands somewhere in between the Golf GTI and the all-wheel drive R. Deliveries will start this summer.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
