Following the official announcement made with the use of a teaser image, the French carmaker Citroen has just added another model to the lineup. Called the C4 Aircross, and basically uses the same formula as the C3 Aircross, but in a much more interesting package.
The news is that it doesn’t look one bit like a jacked up hatchback, instead the French carmaker keeping true to its design prowess with a unique shape and rugged.... brown looks. With so many interesting products currently on offer, it’s such a shame that they are drawing the short stick in European car sales these days.

Getting back to the C4 Aircross, this crossover will be introduced in the first half of next year with a choice of either two- or four-wheel drive. The AWD version also brings selectable drive modes: 2WD for fuel efficiency, 4WD that automatically distributes the torque between the front and rear axles, or lock mode, which increases the torque distribution to the rear wheels for more grip under severe conditions.

The engine choices include center around two very efficient diesels, Citroen’s HDi 110, which is a 1.6-liter and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, or the HDi 150, also available with 2WD and 4WD with a 6-speed manual gearbox. If you want a petrol engine, the only choice is a atmospheric 1.6 that only comes with a five-speed gearbox.

So, let’s sum it all up: the LED are vertical, the front end design is as futuristic and as complicated as a scene from Transformers, and it should also be very economical.
