French carmaker Citroen has announced it will be displaying the C-Elysee at the Paris Motor, which starts on September 27th.
Without going too much into detail, Citroen says this saloon will “reaffirming its status as a global brand, with a high-class saloon for fast-growing international markets.”
This basically means that they haven’t decided if they are going to sell a budged sedan in Western Europe yet. The C-Elysee will be produced in Vigo, Spain, and will be launched end-2012, initially in Turkey, Central Europe or Algeria.
The C-Elysee is the sister car of the new Peugeot budged sedan, the 301, the two cars sharing body parts with the exception of the fascias, bonnet and lights assemblies. It will most like be powered by the latest 1.4 VTi 16-valve four-cylinder engine.
autoevolution will be attending the Paris Motor Show 2012, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
