Are you tired of buying Audis, BMWs and Porsche? Of course you're not, because everybody wants a German SUV. For ages now, the few SUVs offered by French carmakers were designed for the family man with old shoes and a patched-up blazer, while posh people opted for coupe-ish X6.
Not any more, as Citroen has shown a sexy new DS model, and it's an SUV. Called the Wild Rubis, it will debut at the upcoming 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.
Nobody asked it to go affording with the Jeep Wrangler, so the DS SUV had plenty of time to put some makeup on and look pretty. It sports some very interesting 21-inch wheels, LED headlights and blacked out windows. The shape of the roof rails extends into the C-pillars and onto the edges of the rear windshield.
The model has a good chance of becoming production reality in the next few years. It's about the same size as the Peugeot 4007 and Citroen C-Elysee but could actually be built on their new modular platform, the EMP2.
