What's the point of winning races if your car looks like the Toyota Yaris? Just look at that dog of a supermini. The Citroen C3 WRC, on the other hand, is the kind of rally car that fills you with regret that it can't be bought.
The latest generation of the C3 was introduced this summer. It's less cutesy and more car park rugged. However, its WRC version is so hairy-chested that not even a Tibetan monk will be able to resist it.

Some badass new regulations are coming into effect next year, and we can't wait to see this C3 WRC trying to pull a flying Dutchman. Citroen picked one hell of a year to return to this motorsport. With more aero allowed and 380 whopping horsepower thanks to the bigger turbo flange, this French car will have a sweet time skating on ice and zipping over hills.

It also benefits from an enlarged rear spoiler moved further back for even greater aerodynamic support and 25 fewer kilos. What's more, the FIA now allows the use of an electronic differential control

The team to beat is still Volkswagen, but don't need to worry about that just yet. For now, let's just look at the design in all its glory. The livery might be susceptible to change, but everything else on this Parisian WRC concept is there to stay.

The redesign has been a game of giving and taking, as the C3 has lost its Air Bumps and gained an oversized wing. Its front chin spoiler also leaves us in awe of Citroen's design skills.

There's a lot to play for. When the C3 WRC makes its debut at the 2017 Rallye Monte-Carlo in January, everyone will start to remember that Citroen has eight manufacturer’s titles and 96 rally victories. But maybe this awesome big wing and those sleek LED headlights deserve lenient treatment if the double chevron brand doesn't have a championship winning team.
