Premium superminis that demand a hefty toll on your bank balance depend on special editions to survive. From the Fiat 500 to the MINI Cooper or VW Beetle, none are safe from celebrating their ancestors with new colors and plenty of decals.
The masters of design at Citroen also have the art of the special edition down, and we think their latest is quite special. The DS3 coupe received its special treatment to celebrate the opening of the DS World Paris flagship store in the French Capital, on November 27.

A total of 15 cars will be built, this being the very first. The French carmaker says this special edition is inspired by Art Deco design and features high quality materials.

We're no art experts, but we do appreciate the matte ash grey body with contrasting brown roof and the matching set of 17-inch wheels. Inside, the model offers Trinitario brown Nappa leather.

Citroen will set each of the 15 special edition models apart, on the first model, the plaque being made from a lovely Burgundy oak.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
