The Citroen DS5 was actually revealed last year in April ahead of the Shanghai Auto Show, but the current flagship of the DS range from the French automaker has only now made its way to the UK market, where it’s available starting today, April 2nd, from £22,400 OTR.
This five-door hatchback is designed to combine “ bold, modern styling with a luxurious aviation-inspired interior featuring a cockpit roof and pilot-style cabin.”
The engine range includes a choice of four refined and efficient Euro V engines - THP 200, e-HDi 110, HDi 160 and the new 200hp diesel electric Hybrid4.
The French carmaker claims that its hybrid system will provide “200bhp; four-wheel drive capability; emission-free electric power for the city; and an acceleration boost function for the open road - with total CO2 emissions of just 99g/km.”
