Citroen DS4 Exclusive Online Preordering Programme

If you can't wait anymore for the DS4 and you really want to drive one right now, French manufacturer Citroen today announced the beginning of a special online campaign that will allow interested buyers preorder a DS4 through the Internet. Only 500 units will be made available on the company's new website to a total of three countries - Germany, France and Switzerland.

"Citroën has opened an interactive web space to enable users to find out about and reserve their DS4 from among the five available versions. Once the order has been confirmed by the point of sale in the country concerned, these customers will be the very first to take the Citroën DS4 out on the road and discover its vitality, versatility and unrivalled driving sensations," the company said in a press statement.

The car was unveiled last year at the Paris Motor Show and will be offered with two HDI diesels and three petrol powerplants. The gasoline configurations were co-developed with BMW (there are 3 version of a 1.6l unit) and deliver 120, 155 and 200 hp. The diesel units, which are fitted with Citroen’s Diesel Particulate Filter System, offer 110 and 160 hp.

Pricing for the new DS4 will begin at 22,500 Euros for the entry level version fitted with a 1.6-liter VTI unit and will go up to 29,000 Euros for the 2.0-liter HDI top-of-the-range trim level.

If you'll not be able to snatch one of the 500 DS4s to be made available online, you can buy one from a Citroen dealership as soon as this summer.
