Yet another French goddess will make its presence felt in the Land Down Under, as the DS4 is joining Citroen Australia’s model range. priced from $35,990. It’s basically a slightly raised, more luxurious version of the regular C4, but it also comes with a bit of sporting feel.
The car was initially shown as the High Rider Concept at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, but was officially launched at the Paris Auto Show, in September of the same year. The C4-like bodywork has now been added with LED DRL's around the fog lamps, up to 19-inch wheels, and boomerage shaped tailights.
The engine range starts with the 155 THP 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine. This is mated to a six-speed semi-automatic transmission and reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.9 seconds.
The diesel range is limited to 110 hp (82 kW) 1.6-liter diesel, which will cost you $1,000 more and only does 100 km/h (62 mph) in 12.4 seconds. Of far more interest is the DS4 DSport with the 200 THP engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.
