Citroen DS3 and New C3 to Make Mobility Roadshow Debut

The British division of Citroen announced today it will be attending the Mobility Roadshow 2010, with both a static display as well as demonstration models. In fact, Citroen’s DS3 and new C3 models will be making their Mobility Roadshow debuts. The event takes place at the East of England Showground near Peterborough, on July 1-3.

With a total of 14 vehicles on display, Citroen will also showcase the award-winning C3 Picasso, C4 Picasso, Grand C4 Picasso, Nemo Multispace, Berlingo Multispace and C5.

“Today’s technologically advanced Citroen range provides the mobility sector with one of the widest choices of fuel-efficient, low-emission vehicles currently available - from the C1 city car through to the 9-seat Dispatch Combi,” a company statement reads.

“To further provide mobility customers with the benefits of optimum accessibility, Citroen offers an unrivalled choice of MPVs.  This now includes the compact - but exceptionally roomy - C3 Picasso and Nemo Multispace, as well as the larger Berlingo Multispace (available with 5 or 7-seats), C4 Picasso (5-seats), Grand C4 Picasso (7-seat) and Dispatch Combi (with 6 or 9-seats).”

The DS3 is the first model in the revived DS line launched by Citroen in mid-2009. The model will be soon accompanied by DS4 - projected for 2011 - and DS5 - scheduled to be released at a later date.

There will be two diesels and three gasoline engines across the range. The diesels are represented by 1.6-liter HDi units developing either 90 bhp or 110 bhp, with emissions going as low as 99 g/km of CO2. As for the gasoline configurations, they generate 95 bhp, 120 bhp and 150 bhp, the aforementioned source noted. There are two transmission systems available, five or six-speed manual.
