Citroen DS3 and C3 Exempted from London Congestion Charge

Starting today, two stylish Citroen models, the DS3 and the C3, join the ranks of London’s Congestion Charge Zone free-of-charge vehicles. Under the new regulations, drivers of cars emitting 100g/km of CO2 or less and which comply with the Euro 5 standard for air quality, are no longer required to pay the London Congestion Charge. Both cars also achieve combined cycle fuel economy of 74.3 mpg (3.16 l/100km) and also qualify for free VED (Vehicle Excise Duty), potentially providing further annual savings.

With emissions of just 99 grams of CO2 per kilometer, the DS3 DStyle 99g and C3 Airdream+ now benefit from the new Greener Vehicle 100% Discount (GVD). As a result, drivers of the two models can enter the zone for free. This could result in savings of up to £2,500 (€2,915) per year, if you have to pay the £10 (€11.66) ticket five days a week for the whole year, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays.

In order to benefit from the 100% discount, owners of qualifying cars, including the DS3 and New C3 99g models, are required to register their vehicles under the GVD scheme to benefit from the 100% discount, but prior registration and an annual £10 (€11.66) payment are still required per vehicle.
