Back in April, Citroen unveiled the DS Wild Rubis Concept, a preview of the company’s future DS SUV that was due to be sold in China only. An upsetting thought for potential customers located in other markets given the vehicle’s inspired design.
Three months have passed since we’ve seen the Wild Rubis for the first time and its seems the French changed their minds regarding the DS SUV’s availability. According to the company’s DS chief designer, Thierry Metroz, the upcoming Volkswagen Touareg rival could arrive in Europe as well.
“The reaction has been so positive that it is now possible the SUV will come to Europe. The focus is China, where we have a change to make a great success, but that can help push it to Europe, too,” Metroz told Autocar.
However, the SUV is still a long way off, with the production version to be shown at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show and launched in mid-2014 under the DSX7 moniker.
