Citroen DS Compact Coupe Sketch Revealed

The contemporary automotive world is flooded by aggressive marketing strategies. This of course brings benefits for automotive producers, who can see their sale figures increasing and also for the owners of hyper-marketed vehicles, who can enjoy their cars’ “special” status. However, these strategies also come with a major drawback, the fact that the new vehicles can be packed with fake assets.

One of the examples that perfectly illustrates this is the use of the term “coupe” for three-door hatchbacks that don’t necessarily deserve this designation.

But what if an automotive producer came with a compact vehicle that was designed from the ground-up to be a coupe and not just a three-door version of a certain model or a classic hatchback with a few bold lines?

This has happened in the past, but the world’s carmakers haven’t produced enough members of this breed to quench our thirst, so we’re always lusting for a new one. Apparently, so is Sofiane Fekkar from Algeria, who has decided to offer us a design sketch of such a vehicle.

We’d like to ask Citroen to build the car you see in the adjacent image. The vehicle could be an excellent addition to the French carmaker’s DS premium range. This is a sub-brand that is aimed at taking the automaker’s offer to a whole new level.

In fact, such a car would be a true game changer and could sit at the heart of the DS range, offering the company a huge marketing advantage. We know, the fact that this wouldn’t be just a modified standard Citroen, like the current models in the DS range, only using existing underpinnings, would probably send development and production costs through the sky. But we don’t care.
