French automaker Citroen has confirmed plans to introduce the Cactus concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show next month by releasing two teasers of the vehicle that previews the third-generation C3 supermini.
The company declined to offer any kind of info on the new study, but the teaser photo suggests the Cactus concept will sport thin LED headlamps, plastic body cladding and a set of unique alloy wheels. In addition, the video shows the vehicle will also introduce the company’s new “Air Bump” technology.
Citroen promises that more details on the Cactus concept will be revealed on September 5.
The next-generation Citroen C3 concept is rumored to arrive in 2015 and some reports claim the supermini will ride on an enlarged Peugeot 208 platform. The new C3 will be available with petrol engines ranging from 68 to 120 PS, diesels from 70 to 115 PS and a Hybrid Air system that uses compressed air for a combined 82 PS.
